Elder Outreach

Conversation and coffee:

Family Freedom Center provides multiple programs designed to reduce isolation and create culturally inclusive spaces for elders. ‘Conversations & Coffee’ is an Elder-centered program that encourages open discussions and connection through storytelling. This program provides food and coffee and a space for fellowship at the Freedom Farm during the Spring and Summer months. Conversations & Coffee is a cross generational event designed with Elders in mind, to give us an opportunity to connect with one another.

Programming includes:

Elders Advocacy Program:

Let us know how our community can support you. Family Freedom Center offers a comprehensive advocacy service tailored to the unique needs of our elder members. Our support ranges from groceries to travel and medical assistance, providing a helping hand in various areas. At Family Freedom Center, we honor our Elders and the path that they have paved for us. With the invaluable experiences and wisdom they possess, they are equipping the next generation for the journey that lies ahead. To discover more about our Elders Services, please contact us today.

Conversation and Coffee meetings are Tuesday and Thursday from 10am-noon. They are hosted at Freedom Farm (500 E 10th St.) during the spring and summer season. During fall and winter we are in our space at the Washington Center (310 N 1st Ave W). Reminder emails will be sent out at the beginning of the week on a hosting week for coffee and conversation, so be sure to register!
